Can you introduce yourself and share how you got into music?
Taiwanese composer Chia-Chi Hsu began studying composition at the age of 15 and later pursued a master’s degree in music scoring and composition at the Academy of Art University. Transitioning from contemporary music to composing for visual media, she seamlessly blends elements of classical, jazz, and other styles in her compositions.

Could you tell us more about your award-winning work? For instance, how did you prepare it, bring it to life, or any interesting stories behind the scenes?
“Meet by Chance“ is a silent film that follows the story of two strangers whose paths unexpectedly cross in a park, leading from a fleeting encounter to a growing connection. This film marks Chia-Chi Hsu second collaboration with director Sun, as they share a deep artistic synergy in storytelling and visuals. Their partnership resulted in a beautifully crafted piece that earned Chia-Chi Hsu the Absolute First Prize at the UK International Music Competition.
